iBreeze Auto CPAP Overview

The water chamber is designed to slide smoothly in and out of the machine, so it’s not even visible when in use. This sleek, compact design makes the iBreeze look more like a high-tech alarm clock than a fully functional APAP machine.

The iBreeze APAP (auto-titrating PAP) is an ideal choice for people who have difficulty adjusting to the fixed level air pressure provided by standard CPAP machines. Because the iBreeze adjusts the pressure range on a breath-by-breath basis, it provides custom pressure to keep the airways open no matter what sleeping position you’re in, or what nasal conditions or allergies you may be experiencing.

Because the iBreeze provides pressure relief with exhalation, the sense of exhaling against high pressure is minimized. As with any PAP machine, your healthcare provider will prescribe your specific pressure settings (cmH2o) based on your sleep study. Compatible with all CPAP masks, including nasal masks and full face masks.

Airway Clearance Therapy

Diseases such as COPD, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, quadriplegia and other neuromuscular disorders can reduce lung function, increase mucus production and interfere with proper breathing. Increased mucus production and retention of excess mucus increase the risk of lung infections.

Effectively clearing mucus from the air passages is extremely important. Airway clearance therapy using traditional manual chest physiotherapy or HFCWO vest therapy can provide improvement both in pulmonary function and quality of life in patients with chronic hyper-secretive diseases.

HFCWO vest therapy can help loosen thick mucus secretions so it can be mobilized from your lungs by coughing. Clearing the airways may help decrease lung infections, reduce antibiotic use and hospitalization, and improve lung function.

The goals of AffloVest mechanical HFCWO therapy are to reduce the number of exacerbations and infections and to improve patient quality of life by reducing airway inflammation and mobilizing secretions.

The AffloVest is also available through the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs/Tricare. Patients must qualify to meet eligibility requirements.
