Sandra Brown, Breast Care Specialist for Standard Medical Systems LLC, as a Board-Certified Fitter of Mastectomy she is dedicated to serving woman who have experienced Breast Cancer.
Sandra’s career started 20 years ago working for Amoena, a manufacturer of mastectomy products, which included vast experience in medical billing. She attained her fitting experience with Amoena by attending training classes every chance she could. Sandra received her certification to become a mastectomy fitter.
Her overall knowledge of product and years of training under Master Mastectomy fitters in Georgia, California and Florida after leaving Amoena speaks for itself. Her love for helping women with breast cancer drove her to become and ABC Board Certified Fitter in 2012. Being a certified mastectomy fitter involves compassion and commitment. More than a bra fitter, she's often giving a woman new perspective about her body after surgery. Her performance as a ABC Certified Mastectomy Fitter (CFm) is focuses on making her client feel comfortable by letting her know she not is along, assuring her help in her needs after surgery. Introducing the client to what is available for her, fitting her in the correct style and size of post-mastectomy items, breast prostheses and educated the client on other services that available to them for a complete fulfillment of life after breast cancer. Letting them know that their items are cover under their health insurance. This includes patient assessment, formulation of a treatment plan, implementation of the treatment plan, follow-up and practice management.
Whenever a client asked Sandra how she ended up as a Post Mastectomy Fitter her response is “the Lord brought me here”, and it shows in the compassion she has as a Mastectomy Fitter
