Handling Instructions

STORAGE: Spray bottles should always be stored upright. The spray nozzle or lid \ should be securely fastened on the container at all times to prevent off-gassing and potency loss. Turn the sprayer nozzle to the off position when not in use.

Jugs, drums, and other containers used for refilling should also be tightly sealed immediately after refilling has occurred. All containers should be stored out of sunlight or any UV light source in a cool, dark place. Do not allow TwinOxide to freeze.

BEFORE EACH USE: Gently swish the spray bottle back and forth to ensure the chlorine dioxide ingredient is evenly mixed before application.

REFILL INSTRUCTIONS: If you choose to refill a spray bottle from a container ofTwinOxide. Use a funnel to refill containers without spilling the solution. Before pouring off, gently stir the container with the lid securely on by swishing the solution back and forth or inverting the container.

If the container is a larger, like a drum, rock it with the cap tightly sealed back and forth to promote mixing. Make sure that the stir can be done in a safe manner, consistent with all OSHA regulations. If you are pouring-off of a larger container, it is recommended that the spray bottles are batched in as large of a group as possible to minimize the amount of stirring. The dispensing container should be as closed as possible.

Materials and Equipment
While the ready-to-use dilution of TwinOxide contains only 0.005% chlorine dioxide and has low corrosion potential, it is best practice to avoid using equipment made of certain materials —namely metals— with the solution.

PUMPS:When using a transfer pump to pour-off TwinOxide to a smaller container, ensure the pump is made of polypropylene components. Avoid using pumps made of stainless steel or other metals. Do not leave pumps persistently stored in the TwinOxide solution. Remove the pump after use and tightly seal the cap on the container immediately after use. SPRAYERS, FOGGERS, AND MISTERS: Ensure that the chemical storage tank is made of polypropylene material and that the hoses and nozzles are also polypropylene where possible. If the application device contains some metal parts that could come in contact with the TwinOxide solution, triple rinse the application device with water between each use.

Fogging
Th OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) for gaseous chlorine dioxide is 0.1 ppm timeweighted average (TWA) over an eight-hour period. The short-term exposure limit (STEL) is 0.3 ppm over a 15-minute period. These restrictions refer to chlorine dioxide in the air and not the 0.005% concentration of dissolved chlorine dioxide in TwinOxide. Meeting these limits is unlikely when fogging with TwinOxide under most circumstances.

Additional Information
• When using on food surfaces, carefully protect all food and food packaging materials before
treatment. Dilute TwinOxide 1:1 with water prior to use, or use TwinOxide at full strength,
wiping or rinsing surfaces after 1 minute to allow adequate sanitization.
• For non-food surfaces dilution of TwinOxide is discouraged in order to achieve the sanitization
results represented in product literature under most circumstances. TwinOxide is best used in
the ready-to-use (RTU) concentration level.
• Do not mix TwinOxide with other chemicals or household products
• When applying TwinOxide onto electronic equipment, lightly mist the solution on the surface
and avoid over-saturation.
• When refilling containers with TwinOxide, ensure the material is made of high-density
polyethylene (HDPE) and is UV blocking.
• Do not use TwinOxide in clear containers where UV exposure can occur.
• If refilling TwinOxide into a previously used spray bottle, triple rinse the bottle and the spray nozzle.
• Store in a dark, cool location away from heat or open flames.
• DO NOT DRINK—TwinOxide is not for human ingestion.
• Triple rinse spray bottle if it has been used with other chemistry
• Discard excess or used solution as instructed in the SDS and in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.

Color Changes

Natural color stratification may occur over time to the TwinOxide solution. TwinOxide should be shaken or stirred prior to use to ensure mixing has occurred. If the container cap is left open to the air or is unsealed, TwinOxide can lose color and potency. Ensure TwinOxide is tightly capped and sealed immediately after use to minimize exposure to the air.
